Anna is looking to expand her knowledge of dance, choreography techniques, and continue pushing her artistic boundaries by delving into the world of theatre post graduation. After completing her Arts degree at Simon Fraser University, Melissas design and illustration work quickly gained international attention. From the first paid performance in her living room at the age of four, Deanna realized a creative life of theatre was meant to be in her cards. Dramatic arts helps us tap into our imagination and the world around us at any ageespecially preschoolers, children and teens who are just beginning their theatre arts training. Involvement in the arts fosters important skills developed through imagination; critical thinking, problem solving, social and emotional skills, self-confidence, self-discipline and verbal and non-verbal communication. At Shadbolt, Polly teaches pencils, paint and plasticine to preschoolers and art classes for older children and adults. Danais was born in Cuba and moved to Vancouver in 2012. Nancy was born in Taiwan, where she studied under the master painter, Huei-Tung Chen. Later she was a dance/theatre apprentice with Jumpstart Performance Company. Danais's experience and passion for dance led to collaborations with several dance companies, including the Santiago Alfonso's Company and Ballet Litz Alfonso. He earned his Jazz Performance Diploma from Mount Royal College in Calgary in 1993. Jayeon holds a music diploma from Capilano University and a music degree from UBC. His writing on sound and radio art appears in Radio Territories and Islands of Resistance: Pirate Radio in Canada. He divides his time between his studio and works as Shadbolt's full-time ceramics technician. Danais is an established dance teacher and choreographer specializing in folkloric and contemporary dance from Cuba and Latin America. Jenni holds her BA in Dance and Kinesiology from the University of Calgary,RYT 200 from Open Source Yoga and certification in Pilates from CPI. Nora Vaillant is a potter, writer and anthropologist who has been working in clay for over 20 years. in Piano with the Royal Conservatory of Music. He teaches all ages and abilities and teaches group and private guitar at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. In addition to his studies there, he has assisted the studio technicians and worked for the facilities department. Maria recently completed the Collaborative Piano Graduate Diploma program from the New England Conservatory. During the Pandemic, Gill worked with soloists from the Ballet Capitole Toulouse to accompany their 'Ballet Barre Training' on their YouTube channel. At Shadbolt, Ross teaches teen photography camp and adult introductory and intermediate photography courses. Maria has performed with Music Friends Recital Society as a collaborative artist, worked closely with Opera Mariposa for their production of Puccini's Gianni Schicchi and debuted as a music director for their opera scenes concert. Jullianna is an instructor and artist based in Vancouver on the traditional and unceded lands of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. She is the founder/director of Moving Arts & Somatic Studies and Donna Redlick Dance. Noah is on Faculty at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra's School of Music.
